As the Summer heats up we hear more horror stories about pets being left for “just a few minutes” in hot cars. Leaving windows open is not the answer-its simply too hot for a pet inside a car during the Summer Months. Animals can have strokes, seizures and will die if left in a car or as little as 10 minutes. YOU may not think it’s a hot day, or that the windows are sufficiently open but wearing a fur coat even on a 70 degree day, puts your pet in danger. Please leave your pets at home with plenty of fresh water. Don’t leave your pet outside and don’t exercise your pet in extreme heat -keep your best friend cool at home and have fresh water available at all times.
Keep your pets safe this summer!
