Pet Peeves Receives Donation of $5,000
from Southern Wine & Spirits
Woodbury, NY – October 2007 – Pet Peeves, Long
Island’s foremost animal advocacy group has received
a $5,000 donation from Syosset-based Southern Wines and Spirits
of New York. The presentation was made by Executive Vice
President and General Manager Larry Goodrich and Vice President
and General Sales Manager of Wines, Brett Dunne. The donation
will go toward helping Pet Peeves “compassionately connect
people and pets.”
Janine Dion, Pet Peeves’ founder and president expressed
her gratitude. “We wholeheartedly thank Southern Wines
and Spirits for their kindness and generosity. Pet Peeves exists
solely because of the generosity of corporations and individuals
who care. They care about abused and homeless animals, and
they care about people who are lonely and infirm – those
that need the healing companionship of pets. We sincerely
appreciate their support.”
For Southern Wine and Spirits of America, which conducts business
in 27 states, charitable giving is a tradition and a deeply
ingrained philosophy. The company takes a progressive, active
and constructive role in community, state and national affairs.

Pet Peeves is a 501c3 umbrella organization comprised of volunteers
dedicated to raising funds to support no-kill shelters, animal
rescue groups, humane education and pet therapy initiatives.
Their 5th annual fundraising event, “Furry Tails Can
Come True” will be held this year on October 3rd at the
Crest Hollow Country Club. The event is open to all. Corporate
